It's just the XP machines that are giving us trouble. I should probably also mention that the vast majority of the client machines in our domain are Windows 7 and higher, and we currently publish apps directly to those desktops without issue, so I know that our Citrix/Storefront environment is sound. And I need a lot of shortcuts - those developers using IDEs can understand me. Why Because in such configuration all the keyboard shortcuts work. Is this a known issue with the older versions of the Receiver and Windows XP? In order to work remotely on a windows machine from an OS X, I run Citrix Client for Windows in Windows XP running in Oracle Virtual Box. Again, I can get to the Storefront by opening the Receiver context menu and logging in, but it seems no matter what I try, I'm unable to get application shortcuts to publish directly to the desktop.

Install of the Receiver is done silently via command line:Ĭitrixreceiver.exe /silent STORE0="SC Citrix Portal " /includeSSON ENABLE_SSON=Yes SELFSERVICEMODE=False PutShortcutsOnDesktop=True AllowAddStore=AĪlso, on the XP machines in question, we currently have IE8 installed, and do have the Storefront website added to 'Trusted Sites' as well as the 'Automatic login with current username and password' enabled. Download Citrix Workspace app Citrix Workspace app is the easy-to-install client software that provides seamless secure access to everything you need to get work done. Ideally, we want the apps to publish directly to the users' desktops after logging into Windows with no other user intervention. On the Citrix online store, you can buy Citrix Workspace, App Delivery & Security products, or learn about our products, subscriptions and request a quote. I can get to the actual Storefront and apps via the 'Open' command on the Receiver's system tray context menu, but even with that, it's requiring me to login first.
From what I'm reading online, it looks like the last version of the Receiver that supports both XP and Storefront is 4.1 (the latest one I tried was 4.1 CU1), but I'm unable to get the Receiver to populate the desktop with my XenApp application shortcuts.

Upgrading to a newer version of Windows on these machines is not an option, so I'm stuck trying to figure out how to deliver application shortcuts to the desktops of these old machines via our new XenApp 7.6 environment with Storefront. We have a few client machines here at the business where I work that still run Windows XP SP3 due to connections to legacy hardware & software.
